On November 14, 2008, nearly one year to the date of her husband's murder, Dee sued his estate in Utah County's 4th District court (case #080403748), claiming that Ken had "wrongly usurped [her] funds" to the tune of over $8 million dollars.

"Wrongly usurped" means "defrauded." Dee claimed that Ken had defrauded her of over $8 million dollars.

She won that lawsuit against her dead husband's estate in 2015.
