Innocent. Imprisoned.

Time to Right this Wrong.

Important Update:

December 19, 2025: Chris’s Utah Post-Conviction Remedies Act (PCRA) petition was before a judge to determine whether Chris’s claims for relief could move forward to an evidentiary hearing or whether they’d be procedurally barred. Nearly all PCRA petitions are procedurally barred for one reason or another. But Chris’s petition passed the procedural hurdle, and he’ll have his evidentiary hearing! This is unbelievable news.
The hearing will be sometime in late spring 2026. Stay tuned!

Why is Chris Wright still sitting in prison when everything the government claimed about him has been proven false? It’s not his DNA. [See report] Those aren’t his fingerprints and palm print. [See report] That’s not his voice. [See report] That’s not him at the crime scene; he has an alibi witness. Worse, the government (Sandy City PD detectives, prosecutors, and the FBI) worked very hard to bury the fact that the eyewitness consistently said that the shooter had a Russian accent. After well more than a decade of painstaking research, we now know why the government worked so hard to hide this.

Case Overview.

In 2007, Ken Dolezsar, a 50-year-old businessman, was shot to death in front of the Village Inn in Sandy, Utah. The shooter then stole his car and fled the scene. Ken’s death devastated his family and shocked the community. Chris Wright was convicted of Ken’s murder in 2010 and sentenced to life in prison. This shocked and devastated Chris’s family and friends as well — because they know for a fact that Chris didn’t commit the crime.

The key to understanding Chris’s innocence is to learn the larger context for Ken’s death — and it’s that very context that Sandy City PD, the prosecutors, and the FBI worked hard to bury leading up to and during Chris’s trial. They mostly succeeded too. But after more than ten years of research, and especially in the last few years, after uncovering evidence that had been hidden from the public, we can now show the clear chain of events that culminated in Ken’s murder. His death was a tragedy, and his children deserve to know the truth about it.
But this case is complex, and there’s a lot of information to take in. We won’t apologize for that, but we have worked to simplify it as much as possible. To that end, we have broken this site into the following sections:
  1. The Case Timeline: The Case Timeline: The crux of this case is the relationship between the Russian mafia and Tom Mower, who founded the Multilevel Marketing Company Neways with his then-wife Leslie DeeAnn “Dee” Mower. That story goes all the way back to 1982. There is a lot of background information to take in, but knowing it is vital to understanding not only why Ken was murdered, but why he was murdered on November 15, 2007 and not on any other day.
  2. Evidence: The evidence in this case points very clearly to Chris Wright’s innocence. We’ve detailed the main evidence used to convict Chris Wright as well as rebuttals to those claims, including links to primary documents.
  3. Key Figures: There are so very many people involved in this case. This page shows how they’re connected to each other.
