Robert Steed is Interviewed by Police

Robert Steed is interviewed by detectives. Steed confirmed that David Novak likely told Tom Mower that Dee had made a deal with prosecutor Caryn Mark. This would have put Tom “to concern.” Darick’s soon-to-be ex-wife, Charis, “was providing a lot of information” to Dee and Mark, which likely means that Charis took the spreadsheets from Darick that showed up in the Zmelik v. Neways suit. When Tom et al. found out, in July or August 2007, it appeared that they threatened her “… beyond all imagination.” And then Cheris just “completely went off the radar. I mean, she just disappeared, stopped returning phone calls, fired her attorneys, just stopped all the progresses. She had an effective restraining order in place that went up in smoke.” Ken was at the center of the entire investigation against Tom — “he’s the one that’s running the money. He’s the one that’s paying the attorneys. He’s the one that’s trying to find the dirt. He’s the one that’s connecting the pieces.” Robert believed that Tom may have had Ken murdered to make that stop. Robert Zmelik had been implicated with Tom, Tommy, and Darick in forming offshore accounts and “money that had been taken.” Steed said that he and Robert Zmelik “used to be good friends.” Ken was trying to get Robert Zmelik to “give information against Tom Mower.”
